Sell

A kanban that matches how your firm actually sells.

Drag deals across stages, watch the weighted forecast move in real time, and let GENE intelligence flag which deals need attention today.

Pipeline is GENECRM's opportunity board — a six-column kanban (qualified, proposal, negotiation, closing, won, lost) that visualizes every open deal by value and stage. The columns aren't hardcoded: they're generated from your workspace's opportunity-stage vocabulary, which is seeded from the industry preset you chose at setup (financial services uses different stage language than insurance or field service) and can be edited by an admin at any time. Every card shows deal value, probability, and close date at a glance; a stacked forecast bar above the board shows how open pipeline value is distributed across stages so you can spot bottlenecks without opening a single deal.

Drag-and-drop kanban, built on your vocabulary

Opportunities render as cards inside stage columns; dragging a card to a new column fires an optimistic PATCH to /api/crm/opportunities/{id} and the KPIs recompute instantly. On mobile, the same data renders as a collapsible accordion per stage with tap-to-change-stage instead of drag targets.

  • Columns come from the tenant's opportunity_stages vocabulary, not a fixed list
  • Cards show name, value, probability %, and close date
  • Won/lost are treated as closed stages and excluded from open-pipeline math
  • Stage moves into "won" or "lost" auto-set the deal's closed_at timestamp

Weighted forecast and pipeline KPIs

A KPI strip above the board reports open value, weighted pipeline (value × probability for every open deal), won-to-date, and win rate, all computed server-side by the pipeline summary endpoint from every non-closed opportunity in the workspace.

  • Weighted pipeline = Σ(value_usd × probability_pct) across qualified/proposal/negotiation/closing
  • Win rate = won value ÷ (won + lost value) for the current year
  • A stacked composition bar shows what share of open value sits in each stage

AI deal intelligence

Open any deal and the intelligence panel runs a health/risk read on it: a 0–100 health gauge, a risk label (healthy / watch / at risk), a short narrative summary, the signals driving the read, and a ranked list of next-best-actions with priority and reasoning — rendered even when no AI provider is configured, since the underlying scoring is deterministic-safe.

  • Health gauge (0–100) plus risk classification: low / medium / high
  • Signal chips show what's pushing the score up (▲) or down (▼)
  • Next-best-actions are prioritized high/medium/low with a stated reason

Win-probability prediction, on demand

Beyond the ambient health score, each deal has an explicit outcome predictor: click Predict and GENECRM computes a model-driven close probability, compares it to your user-set probability, and lists the individual drivers (each with a directional delta) that moved the number. Optionally add an AI-generated two-sentence narrative that names the strongest drivers in plain language.

  • Predicted vs. user-set probability shown side by side, with the delta highlighted
  • Each driver lists a named factor, a percentage delta, and whether it's positive, negative, or anchor
  • Confidence is reported as low / medium / high alongside the prediction

Opportunity drawer: editable fields and activity log

Clicking a card opens a slide-over with stage chips for one-click stage changes, editable value/probability/close-date/lost-reason fields, the prediction card, and a scoped activity feed where you can log calls, emails, meetings, notes, and tasks against the deal without leaving the drawer.

  • Stage, value, probability, expected close date, and lost reason are all inline-editable
  • Lost-reason field appears only when a deal is moved to the lost stage
  • Activity log is scoped to the opportunity and its linked contact
What you can do
  • Sales leaders who want a single forecast view instead of stitching spreadsheets together
  • Reps who live in a kanban and want stage moves to update numbers instantly
  • Managers who want an early warning on which deals are trending toward risk
FAQ

Pipeline & Deals — common questions

Yes. Stage labels come from your workspace's opportunity-stage vocabulary, seeded by your industry preset at setup and editable by an admin — the kanban columns and drawer stage chips both reflect whatever stages you configure.

Each open opportunity's value is multiplied by its probability percentage (defaulting to 50% if unset) and summed. Won and lost deals are excluded from the open/weighted totals but roll into won-YTD, lost-YTD, and win-rate figures.

No. Both are deterministic and always render. If an AI provider is configured, you can optionally layer on a short narrative explanation, but the score, risk label, and drivers work without one.

Opportunities can be scoped to a specific named pipeline with its own stage set; if you don't assign one, deals fall back to the workspace's default opportunity-stage vocabulary.
