Ask any question of your data, save the answer, ship it as a dashboard.
A group-by report builder over every entity in the CRM, saved reports you can re-run in one click, CSV export, custom dashboards, and a built-in conversion-analytics view.
GENECRM's reporting layer is a single aggregation engine — pick an entity (opportunity, lead, contact, account, task), a field to group by, and a metric (count, sum, avg, min, max) — that powers ad-hoc reports, saved reports, dashboard widgets, and goal tracking from the same spec. There's no separate BI tool to learn: the same {entity, group_by, metric} shape you use for a one-off report becomes a dashboard tile or a quota target with no re-modeling.
Report builder
Choose an entity, a group-by field, and a metric, then run it — the API validates the field names against the real model and returns bucketed results with a computed total, so a typo in a field name fails fast with a clear error instead of a silent empty chart.
- Entities: opportunity, lead, contact, account, task
- Metrics: count, sum, avg, min, max (sum/avg/min/max require a metric_field, e.g. value_usd)
- Optional filters narrow the underlying rows before aggregation
- One-click starter reports: Pipeline $ by stage, Contacts by kind, Leads by source, Avg lead score by temperature
Saved reports
Name and save any report spec; it appears as a chip you can re-run in one click or delete, and every save/delete is written to the audit log so report changes are traceable.
CSV export
Export the current result set — group and value columns — to CSV directly from the browser for any report you've run, with no server round-trip beyond the report itself.
Dashboards & goals
Dashboards are collections of widgets, and each widget is just a report spec plus a chart type; rendering a dashboard re-runs every widget's aggregation and returns a tile per widget. Goals reuse the same aggregation engine to track a metric against a numeric target over a period, so a quota is a report with a finish line.
- Dashboards: name, list of widgets ({title, viz, spec}), optional default flag
- Goal progress: current value vs. target, expressed as a percent, over a period (default quarter)
Conversion analytics
A purpose-built dashboard (/crm/analytics) on top of the same data: KPI tiles for leads created, converted, conversion rate and median days-to-convert; a stage funnel; a source-attribution chart; an owner leaderboard with won and weighted-pipeline dollars; and a feed of recent conversions — filterable by 30/90/180/365-day windows.
- Sales leaders tracking pipeline $ by stage or rep without exporting to a spreadsheet
- RevOps building a shared dashboard of the metrics that matter for the week
- Managers setting a quarterly goal (e.g. 50 opportunities won) and watching live progress
- Anyone who needs a quick CSV of a metric for a board deck or a follow-up email
Reports & Analytics — common questions
No. Reports are built by picking an entity, a group-by field, and a metric in the UI (or via a small JSON spec through the API) — the server maps that to a validated, parameterized aggregation query.
Yes — every report result can be exported to CSV directly from the report view with one click.
None, structurally — a dashboard widget is a saved report spec plus a chart type. Anything you can build as a one-off report can become a dashboard tile.
Yes. Goals attach a target number and a period to any report-style metric, and the goal's progress endpoint returns the current value against the target as a live percentage.
Yes — the conversion-analytics dashboard shows the funnel by stage, conversion rate by source, an owner leaderboard, and recent conversions, with selectable 30/90/180/365-day periods.
